Projects

RoboKids

In the Community Impact Project, I am working on an inspiring initiative called RoboKids. Alongside other students from Constructor University, our main goal is to enable remote control of various robots on our campus by schools in Bremen, Croatia, and soon even Albania. My specific focus is on the Universal Robots UR5e, where I am working on making it remotely controllable. Additionally, we are developing an online platform (a dedicated website) to support this project.

SONAR

This project is part of the CA-RIS-801 Marine Robotics course. Our group’s primary focus is on underwater sonar technology, with a specific emphasis on the Ping360 Scanning Imaging Sonar. Through this work, we aim to deepen our understanding of underwater sensing principles, explore the unique capabilities of the Ping360, and demonstrate how it can be applied in various underwater scenarios.

ROS Project

This project was part of the CO-542-A “RIS Lab 1” course. Working on this project I acquired proficiency in ROS for advanced robotics software development, by applying it effectively to Gazebo simulation, utilizing Rviz for visualization, and engineering custom robots using URDF format.

RIS Project

In this project, I applied ROS2 concepts to develop and test a wall-following behavior for a Turtlebot3 robot, using topic publishers/subscribers, services, and action servers, both in a simulation and on a real robot remotely accessed from Barcelona. Additionally, I implemented a mapping system using ROS2 Navigation to create and save an environment map, preparing the robot for autonomous navigation.

Building Dreams: My High School In 3D

Even though I was just a high school student at the time, I successfully completed a highly challenging project: creating a 3D model of my high school building and printing it using a 3D printer. It wasn’t easy – in fact, it was my first time using Agisoft Photoscan and operating a drone. I had to capture over 300 RAW images with a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone, which was considered one of the best at the time. With the assistance of OG Design, I was able to accomplish the task. Now, I am thrilled that the project was a success, and the 3D-printed replica of my high school is displayed in the school’s centennial museum. I take great pride in this achievement.
